Engraving is a nice way to personalize a piece of jewelry.
This is quite often done especially with silver jewelry.
I own quite a few pieces of silver jewelry that I have paid for the engraving service.
I hope Kevin appreciates that extra expenses I paid to have his birthday gift personally engraved.
I hope to be able to master engraving so I can personalize the silver jewelry that I craft.
So far, what I know is that silver engraving is done with big expensive machines. I hope to come across something small and with a smaller price tag.
The upcoming project going to be a tough one. We are to design and craft a silver ring.
I want to make something I like as well as enjoy wearing.
It has to be really simple and suit my taste.
This nice and chunky silver ring is one I will consider. It has a round centre to fit a finger and extend to a squarish shape but without sharp angles.
Its planes do not seem to be flat but angled and tapered. It’s difficult to make out from the photograph but then I am only looking for inspiration.
I’ll just stick to these rough guidelines and see what I can come up with.
I’m a little surprised that looking at these sterling silver turtle pendant designs stirred me up a little.
The most important factor must be the fact that I kept terrapins as pets when I was little. They were pets to my sister and I and we love to feed them and watch them swim.
And having seen a giant sea turtle during one diving trip makes me rather fond of these creatures.
Wearing a sterling silver turtle pendant will be rather cool. I especially like the one with intricate motif on the shell.
I don’t think I’ll be handcrafting something so complex, I’ll most probably just go ahead to buy myself a sterling silver turtle pendant.
